Congratulations to all the North All-Star players!
Diamond League Update The North Attleboro Hockomock League Diamond League 16-18 year-old team finished the regular season in first place with a record of 10–3–0. Throughout the season the team recieved strong pitching from Nick Kostaras, Mike Bodinski and Chad Lareau. The team allowed the least amount of runs during the 13 game season. Nick Capparell led the team with 3 home runs. They won their first round playoff game 6-2 against Wrentham as Bodinski pitched a complete game with 10 strike outs. He received great defensive support in the game from Chris Brennock, Steve Goss, Jeff Purdum and Steve Hodgeman.Unfortunatly the season came to an end in the semi finals as they lost a tough battle with Attleboro 4-3. Overall it was a great season for the North squad.
North 12 All-Stars Update The North Attleboro 12 year old All-Star team made it to the championship game of the Freetown Little League Tournament on July 24th. With wins over Freetown, Somerset and Falmouth, the North All-Stars made it to the final game against Rehoboth (losing a hard fought battle 14-9). Riecke Dellek and Joe Beattie carried the majority of the pitching load. Dan Burdick, Erik Everton, Dan Johnson and Joe DeGirolamo furnished some timely hitting. Dave Charboneau, Jim Cipriano and Mike Boyland provided some excellent defensive work. Joe Beattie and Dan Burdick hit home runs in the homerun derby at the mini Fenway Park field.(Click on picture to view full-sized image.)
